Allen Mountain

Allen Mountain is the #26 highest of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks at 4,340 feet above sea level. Herd path (unmarked).

Infamous for difficulty; long approach; multiple stream crossings; very muddy; worst herd path.

Named for Reverend Frederick B. Allen, one of the first to climb many of the High Peaks.
