Hough Peak is the #23 highest of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks at 4,400 feet above sea level. Herd path (unmarked).

Trailless; difficult bushwhacking; remote; often combined with Dix traverse.

Named for Franklin B. Hough, who created the first survey of the Adirondacks and championed forest conservation.
